Assistant Manager (Ocean Freight)

Qualification Requirements: –

1.Male or Female, age of not over 35 years.
2.Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
3.Experience in good connection with various shipping lines.
4.Experience of all shipping lines routing and strengths of each shipping line’s trade lanes.
5.Experience Quotes.
6.Experience on negotiating of ocean freight pricing, and issuing quotation to clients.
7.Experience in coordinating with overseas agent, sales team, customer service.
8.Understand ocean freight inquiries as well current incoterms®2020.
9.Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
10.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11.Dedication to providing great customer service.
12.Optional: To know operation works i.e. Break Bulk, Roro, OOG, Tank Container.
13.Dangerous Goods, Bill of Entry.

Job Description:

1.Checking & Negotiation for ocean freight rate from shipping lines/freight forwarder.
2.To gain more revenue and profit for Ocean Freight business both new customer and manage existing clients.
3.Control the issue document for Ocean Freight such as HAWB/MAWB,HBL,Billing invoice,cost sheet.
4.Control the cost / profit of Ocean Freight department.
5.Establish and maintain good relationship with customers, oversea agents and response to quotations/inquiries on a professional manner.
6.Interface with appropriate deptments to assure timely and accurate service and/or pricing is provided to the customer, including to insure delivery of customer satisfaction.
7.Response the claim letters.
8.Recruit new staff, interview.
9.Solving NVOCC problems.
10.Monthly sales report and NVOCC – import/export analysis and statistics.
11.Visiting current and new customers.
12.Holding section monthly meeting.
13.Rotation of clients on hand among staff.
14.Control and manage the team to achieve the target.
15.Setting KPI in team.
16.Shipping line review and performance evaluation towards maximum performance and cost saving.
17.Evaluation and imporove staff knowledges.
